Born and raised in a small, suburban town in Northern California, I fondly hold the San Francisco Bay Area, preserved in perfect nostalgia. Today, my family and I reside just 30 minutes south of Nashville, Tennessee. Yes, it’s a dramatic shift. And My husband and I spent the first five years of our marriage in greater Boston, MA. (Another experience of culture shock, for another day…)

As a child, I struggled with reading, which drove an awkward wedge between me and my early talent for storytelling. For a middle-school assignment, I picked up “The Oath” by Frank E. Peretti, and for the first time binged on the mystery, drama, suspense and fantasy etched by ink into every page. “The Oath” was a catalyst, igniting a passion for texts and reawakening my desire to write. My favorite authors include JRR Tolken, CS Lewis, Maya Angelou and Pierce Brown.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from a (now closed) private university in the Santa Cruz mountains, I became a Social Worker, Minister, SAHM, and a School Bus Driver. Presently, I work in online customer experience & operations.

I married the man I consider my “hapless high school sweetheart” since 2006, and together we have three beautiful, creative and kind children.
